Closed, factories and equipment of Toyota in Australia Auctioned

Melbourne-Toyota this year will stop car production in Australia. Starting in October of this year, Toyota Australia is no longer producing cars at a factory in Australia in the 1930s.

Hamburg-Altona plant will stop building the Toyota Aurion in August, Camry Hybrid in September and petrol-engined Camry in October.

Toyota already produces cars for more than 50 years in Australia. The decision that had to be taken because heavy Toyota considers producing cars in Australia are not competitive because a lot of things, one of which is the exchange rate factor.

Although no longer producing cars in Australia, Toyota remained in the land of the Kangaroo despite its status of being only a distributor only. The number of workers will shrink from 3,900 to 1,300 people.
